Printed manuscript image on tissue paper, crumpled up and torn into bits. The silk paper was sprayed with gold metallic ink before the tissue paper was added.

Rusted silk paper
An `ancient' book, it just needs a distressed cord or something to finish it off. The outer cover has a lovely leathery feel to it but as the paint and activator diddn't soak through the paper, the inside is still soft and silky. I used some gold and copper metallic rub-on too which looks good, although it doesn't show up well in the photo
