Snow Dyeing

Snow dyeing
Soak your 100% cotton fabric in soda  (1tbls to ½ pint water double up the quantity until you have enough liquid for your fabric)
Place a sheet of glass or something similar on an angle in the sink
Place the fabric on top
Pour on snow
Sprinkle on different colours of procion dye powder
Leave to melt

Good luck and have fun !
We are sorry but due to heavy snowfall overnight and more forecasted today
we have taken the decision to cancel today's workshop.
It will be rolled over to next month. .
Why don't you try some snow dyeing now you have some free time!

Rain forest - Tree canopy

The Tree Canopy
Students are creating  a handmade journal in which to record images of the rain forest such as the exotic flora and fauna which found in abundance. Using transfer paints to create a background of luxuriant foliage created by hand and free machining on disolvable fabrics or bonding and using distressed techniques and silk paper.
